Dear players! We’re happy to announce the long‑awaited update to Backgammon Masters. This release focuses on improving connection stability and revamping the weekly challenges.

Due to connection issues appearing in some countries, we reorganized our infrastructure and added a new “Region” option in the app.

What does choosing a region do?
If the in‑game update download fails, the game won’t connect, avatars don’t load, or room lists don’t appear, switch to a different region. If everything works fine, you can ignore this option.

The key feature of the update is the reworked challenges. We removed the low stakes of 10 and 50. We also introduced stake unlocks. Now, to start playing for 500, you need 3 wins at the 100 stake. To unlock 1000, you need 3 consecutive wins at the 500 stake. In addition, there are limits on the maximum winnings for each base stake. In simple terms, the doubling cube will initially go only up to x2; after one win it can go up to x4; and after 6 wins—up to the full x64! Each win doubles your maximum permitted win. This applies to each base stake: 100, 500, and 1000.

If you lose your entire competition balance and then top it up again, your stake unlocks reset. That’s the rule.

We also added indicators to the weekly leaderboard, so you can track other players’ rating growth.

Heads‑up! Starting September 1, we’re relaunching weekly competitions on a regular basis. The debut competition will start at 12:00 UTC. Don’t miss it!
